7% Sales Tax Waiver Blocked

Paxton and McCortney Must Go

Page 31 of HB2004 gives an 7% excise tax waiver to all Veterans with a disability rating of 25% or more. Senator Paxton and Senator McCortney are actively trying to keep this bill from getting a committee hearing which must be done my next week. Are these guys serious that they are actually fighting a bill OMMA asked for that gives a discount on taxes to Veterans? Was their sacrifice to this country not enough? Now you want to suck every penny out of them that you can? Get real guys! Get the bill passed and let’s give our veterans a break! Oklahoma call your Senators and ask them to get this to a committee vote and get it passed! Shame on you Senators!
