REGULATORS REVOKE OKLAHOMA CITY TESTING LAB LICENSE

In #Oklahoma, regulators revoke the license of a #medical #cannabis testing facility over various #health and #safety violations. An administrative judge ruled against Oklahoma City lab Nationwide #Engineering and Testing, after the state’s Medical #Marijuana Authority submitted an application to pull the business’s license and halt operations in #March. The complaint accuses the #lab of not having the capacity to test for heavy metals, improperly storing samples, and transporting them without a license. It also alleges that Nationwide continued to operate after being shut down by the city’s Fire Marshall in #December for several compliance issues, such as incorrect storage of hazardous materials and a lack of relevant operating permits. While its unclear exactly what prompted the Fire Department’s inspection, a former employee contacted regulators to confirm the violations after an investigation was already underway. In response, Nationwide general manager Kris Agrawal is denying the allegations and a spokesperson says the company is fighting the recent ruling.
