Heath- Mary Will Nourish
Musical Guest: Johai Kafa Though centralized in the heart of artistic and historic Eureka Springs, Arkansas, Johai Kafa’s roots are sunk deep within the fertile ground of an elder musicianship than that of modern day: the Romani Gypsy.
The strange rhythm and time signatures often incorporated with a minor scale gives the ambiance of sorrow from which we flee. Just as those before us, we dance and shake off woes in an attempt to break away from the confines of societal standards.
This is the music of the freed peoples worldwide. This is the sound of the removed chains. This is Johai Kafa.
