Easy Crockpot CannabutterFor this recipe you will need the following:
- A crockpot
- A quart mason jar that will fit inside of your crockpot
- A pound of butter
- An ounce of cannabis (trim is okay for this)
Now it is time to strain the plant material from the cannabutter. For this step, I use a coffee filter replacement strainer that I found at the Dollar store and put two coffee filters in it. It takes a while to strain this way but seems to get most of the plant material out of the butter. Keep in mind that the finer you grind your herb, the harder it is to strain later. After the mixture is strained, I put it into a bowl and put it in the fridge long enough for the cannabutter to solidify. You can then remove the butter from any remaining water and place into a clean bowl. Keep in the refrigerator until ready to use. I have had cannabutter stay good for 30 days or so but for long-term storage, you might want to freeze it.
