Herb and Art

Kenny Ray Wilmath Bio

Hi, we are the Wilmath’s. We are your average crazy fun family of 5, with Two rowdy boys, and one sassy unique girl.  Kenny is the artist, he grew up loving art and attended Inola High School.  He had the privilege of being taught by Kathy Daily who inspired him to always think outside the box and to not be afraid to break the rules.

Becoming a father of two and a husband left little time for art, then we lost our minds and added another blessing 11 years later. Needless to say, there is never a dull moment around here. Clinton, our oldest son, loves skateboards and anything outdoors.  Hudson, our youngest son, loves Tec the Tractor and anything his brother does.  Our only daughter, well she is a firecracker.

Krista came into this world ready to take over with her infectious smile. She was born with Lennox-Gastaut and Autism. For those who don’t know Lennox-Gastaut is a rare and severe form of epilepsy.  Autism for Krista means delays in speech, poor motor skills, violent and self-injurious behavior.

Oh but this girl talks with her eyes like nothing I have ever seen.  As she got older the need for me to stay home became greater. So I left my job as a Hairstylist to become a stay at home mom and full-time caregiver.

Krista hasn’t been able to attend public school for years due to behavior and seizures. We were able to start CBD and then Cannabis. It greatly improved her quality of life.  As a family, we spent a lot of time looking for things to do outside the home.  We didn’t find much in the way of her being able to stay safe and interact with her peers. We decided there should be a space where people of all abilities can come to be themselves free of judgment.  That was when the idea of Herb & Art was born.

Herb&Art is Kenny’s dream come true and Krista’s safe space. Our mission is to have a welcoming safe place for persons of all abilities to express themselves through art.
